Finishing school in 2008, I earned a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Northwood University. After graduation I began working for Craig’s Auto Body, a small auto-body shop owned by my parents since 2004. Working side-by-side with my family has been not only very rewarding, but also challenging. Daily duties include working with customers, insurance companies, government agencies, and municipalities.
I met my husband Kris in 2005. We enjoyed a beautiful wedding ceremony at my parent’s home, along with numerous family and friends. It only took two years to add the pitter-patter of little feet to the house, bringing home our son, Wyatt in 2011. Wyatt was born at Sparrow Hospital under the care of local OBGYNs. Add 2 dogs and 1 cat to the mix, and our household is complete. We enjoy camping, spending time with family, cooking, and eating great food. I am passionate about many issues surrounding birth, breastfeeding and parenting. I believe that when we know better we do better. Families make very few black and white decisions and must find what works best for them. It is so important to help parents connect to each other and have a safe place to learn more about pregnancy, birth and parenting. Those early days of parenting can be especially overwhelming and having a strong community becomes very important. I am excited to be a part of an organization that helps educate and support parents.
